Heritage Red Clay Brick

Reclaimed red brick streaked with gray and whitewashed patches is the look of a century-old storefront, and this is real clay at roughly 1/2" thick, so it carries that texture without the depth of full brick.

Heritage Red Clay Brick is offered three ways. Mesh-back running-bond sheets speed installation in interiors and covered outdoor spaces such as a covered patio. Single 2-1/4" x 7-1/2" tiles are listed for open outdoor areas. Corner pieces at 2-1/4" x 10-3/4" return around outside edges, so a column or fireplace end reads like solid brick. The finish is natural. If you like the color but want more pattern, Heritage Red Herringbone Clay Brick comes on herringbone sheets.

The mixed red, gray and whitewash tones let you lean warm or cool with mortar color: off-white emphasizes the whitewashed bricks, while mid gray quiets the red. Pair with black windows, iron fixtures, white oak and butcher block. Use running bond on fireplace walls, exterior columns and wine-room walls, and add corners anywhere the brick wraps an outside edge.

    Can I use Heritage Red Clay Brick on an exterior wall?

    The single 2-1/4" x 7-1/2" tiles are listed for outdoor use, while the mesh-back sheets are listed for interior and covered outdoor areas. In freeze-thaw areas such as Park City, have your installer confirm the substrate, drainage and setting materials.

    What's the difference between the sheets and single tiles?

    Sheets have bricks pre-spaced on a mesh back in running bond, which speeds installation indoors and in covered areas. Single tiles are individual 2-1/4" x 7-1/2" bricks, listed for outdoor applications, and are set one at a time.

    Does Heritage Red come in herringbone?

    Yes. Heritage Red Herringbone Clay Brick offers the same color on herringbone mesh sheets, with single tiles and corners listed as well, so you can use both patterns within one project.
