Graphite Bay Ledgestone in dark gray marble, product sample
Natural Stone Veneer

Graphite Bay Ledgestone

If black feels too strong but light gray feels too soft, Graphite Bay Ledgestone lands in between. It is natural marble in dark gray with a split face, cut as random-size ledgestone for individual placement, with matching corners for outside edges.

Ledgestone draws the eye horizontally, which helps on wide fireplace walls, long entry walls and contemporary exteriors. Marble shows natural variation, so expect shifts in tone and veining from piece to piece rather than a flat, uniform gray. Dark stone absorbs heat in direct sun, worth noting on west-facing walls. For a fully black ledgestone, see Nightfall on our natural stone veneer page.

Keep the mortar dark gray and the joints tight for a clean, modern finish. Graphite Bay pairs with white oak, walnut, brushed stainless, matte black fixtures and light plaster. It works on linear gas fireplaces, entry walls and covered patios. Use the matching corners on outside edges, and lay longer pieces across wide spans to reinforce the horizontal lines.

    Questions

    About Graphite Bay Ledgestone

How does Graphite Bay compare with Nightfall Ledgestone?

Both are natural ledgestones with split faces and matching corners. Graphite Bay is dark gray marble; Nightfall is black limestone. Graphite Bay reads a little softer, while Nightfall gives maximum contrast against light materials.

    Will the marble look uniform?

No. Marble shows natural variation from piece to piece, so expect differences in tone and veining across the wall. Pulling stone from multiple crates during installation helps blend that variation evenly from top to bottom.

Is it suitable for a covered patio in Salt Lake City?

Natural ledgestone is often used on covered outdoor walls, where the dark gray pairs well with outdoor kitchens and heaters. Confirm the installation method, substrate and drainage details for your location and wall assembly with your installer before ordering.
