Natural Stone Veneer
Old Mill Sawn Ashlar
Sawn edges give Old Mill a more tailored outline than rough-split stone. This is natural marble in brown and gray, cut into ashlar shapes of random sizes with a split-face front, so the joints line up neatly while the faces stay textured. Matching corners are available.
Ashlar patterns sit between rustic and refined, which makes Old Mill a good match for traditional-leaning mountain homes, stone-clad entries and garden walls. The mix of brown and gray bridges warm wood and cool metal. Marble shows variation from piece to piece, so the wall will carry natural movement. Explore more veneers on our natural stone page.

Choose a warm gray mortar that falls between the brown and gray tones. Old Mill pairs with reclaimed wood, iron hardware, copper gutters and cream trim. Set pieces in a random ashlar pattern with varied heights for an old-world look, and use the corners on outside edges so the sawn profile wraps cleanly around columns, window returns and wall ends.

About Old Mill Sawn Ashlar
What does sawn ashlar mean?
Ashlar refers to stone cut into roughly rectangular shapes. Sawn means the edges are cut, which helps pieces fit together with more consistent joints. Old Mill keeps a split face on the front, so you get neat lines with natural texture.
Does Old Mill come with corners?
Yes. Old Mill Sawn Ashlar is offered as random-size sawn ashlar pieces plus corners, so columns, wall ends and window returns can show finished stone on both faces instead of a cut edge.
Will it suit a home in Park City?
Its brown and gray tones fit mountain architecture well. Freeze-thaw cycles make installation details important, so confirm the setting method, drainage and suitability for your exterior wall with your installer.
