That is the palette of Bonneville Sand, a concrete manufactured stone with a natural finish that keeps each face irregular and hand-laid in feel. It ships as random-size flats with matching random-size corners.

Because it is manufactured rather than quarried, it weighs less than full natural stone, which can open up options on framed walls, columns and fireplace surrounds. Pair Bonneville Sand with a buff or tan mortar so the joints melt into the stone's warm side; a gray mortar cools it down and makes each piece read more separately. It works well against white oak, dark bronze or rusted metal, and terracotta. Use the random-size corners on columns and wall returns so the wall looks like solid stone rather than a thin facing.

    Do the corners come pre-made?

    Yes. Bonneville Sand is offered as random-size flats plus random-size corner pieces, so outside corners on columns, wall ends and fireplace returns can be wrapped with stone that shows a finished face on both sides. Our team can help you plan quantities of each.

    Is it a good fit for a home in St. George?

    The warm tan and gold palette suits desert architecture, and lighter stone tends to absorb less heat than dark stone. Exterior suitability depends on your wall assembly and installation method, so confirm the details with your installer before ordering.

    Is this real stone?

    No. Bonneville Sand is concrete manufactured stone, cast and colored to resemble natural stone, which makes it lighter than full natural stone. If you would rather use quarried material, ask our team about the natural stone veneer options in the same category.
