Ember Charcoal porcelain brick tile in charcoal and gray tones, running bond
Porcelain Brick

Ember Charcoal Porcelain Brick

Dark brick has a smoky, grounded presence, the kind you see on old fireplace backs and industrial buildings. Ember Charcoal brings charcoal and gray tones to a matte porcelain tile with a brick face, offered in one size: 2-1/3" x 10".

That single format keeps ordering simple and reads as a classic brick in running bond, stack bond or herringbone. It works on fireplace surrounds, bar walls, range hood walls and basement media rooms, where a dark backdrop helps a TV, art or lighting stand out. The supplier lists a DCOF above 0.42 for the porcelain brick line. Compare it with lighter tones in our brick collection, or look at Ashford Gray Clay Brick if you want a weathered gray in real clay.

Charcoal brick pairs well with walnut, white oak, leather, aged brass and warm lighting, which keeps a dark wall from feeling cold. Charcoal grout creates a solid, monolithic look; light gray grout outlines each brick for a more graphic pattern. In a small room, use it on one wall rather than all four, and plan the layout so cut bricks land in less visible corners.

    Questions

    About Ember Charcoal Porcelain Brick

What size does Ember Charcoal Porcelain Brick come in?

It is offered in 2-1/3" x 10", a traditional brick proportion, with a matte finish. If you need a longer 2" x 18" format, look at the other porcelain brick colors, several of which offer that size.

Will a dark brick make my room feel smaller?

Dark walls can make a space feel more enclosed, which designers often use intentionally in dens and media rooms. On a single feature wall with good lighting, charcoal brick adds depth without closing the room in. Samples help you judge it.

What grout color works best with charcoal brick?

For a seamless, modern look, use a charcoal grout close to the brick color. For a more traditional pattern, a light or mid gray grout outlines each piece. Your installer can make a small mockup board so you can compare before committing.
