Coping
Chestnut Brown Travertine
This coping carries the warm walnut brown of Chestnut Brown travertine to the pool edge, steps and seat walls. Medium variation means each piece has its own tone, which keeps a long run of coping from looking flat.
Options cover most edge details: 12x24 in 3 cm honed with a full bullnose on one 24 in side; 12x24 and 16x24 in 2 in brushed full bullnose; 16x24 in 3 cm brushed full bullnose; and 12x24 and 16x24 in 2 in honed unfilled and brushed with eased edges. Bullnose gives a rounded, traditional edge; eased edges look crisper. Pair it with Chestnut Brown Travertine pavers for a continuous deck.

Think about thickness first: 3 cm coping can line up with 3 cm pavers, while 2 in pieces give a heavier edge at the waterline. Use full bullnose where swimmers sit or grab the edge, and eased edges on modern raised spa walls or planters. Brown coping pairs well with cedar, dark bronze and white or light gray plaster. About Chestnut Brown Travertine
Which pavers match this coping?
Chestnut Brown Travertine Pavers share the same warm walnut brown and medium variation. They come in sizes from 6x6 to 24x24 plus pattern kits, all 3 cm and tumbled, so you can build a full matching pool deck.
What is the difference between honed and brushed?
Honed travertine has a smooth, flat surface; brushed has a slightly textured, softly worn feel. Several Chestnut Brown pieces combine honed unfilled faces with brushing, which leaves the natural holes open. Compare samples of each before choosing.
Is a brown coping a good idea in St. George?
Darker stone generally absorbs more sun than lighter stone, so brown coping can feel warmer under bare feet in desert heat. If the pool sits in full sun, compare it with a lighter option and talk it through with your installer.
