Ashford Gray thin clay brick in weathered gray and buff tones, running bond

Ashford Gray Clay Brick

Weathered gray with buff undertones gives a wall the quiet texture of aged masonry without the strong color of red brick. Ashford Gray Clay Brick is genuine clay, about 1/2" thick, in a natural finish.

It is offered as running-bond mesh-back sheets for interiors and covered outdoor spaces, single 2-1/4" x 7-1/2" tiles for open outdoor areas, and 2-1/4" x 10-3/4" corner pieces. That combination lets one color cover a great-room fireplace wall, an exterior column and a covered outdoor kitchen. For pattern on a floor, pair it with Ashford Gray Herringbone Clay Brick, or browse the full brick collection for other colors and porcelain options.

This gray-buff mix sits comfortably beside natural stone, cedar, board-and-batten and dark bronze windows, a good fit for mountain-modern homes. A mid-gray mortar keeps it understated; a buff or sand mortar warms it. Choose sheets indoors for speed and single tiles for uncovered exterior walls, and include corners wherever the brick turns an outside edge.

  • Kitchen backsplashes and accent walls
  • Covered patios and outdoor kitchens (mesh-back sheets)

    Questions

    About Ashford Gray Clay Brick

How is the running-bond sheet different from the herringbone sheet?

Both use the same weathered gray and buff clay brick. The running-bond sheet lays bricks in staggered rows, the familiar wall pattern; the herringbone sheet arranges them in a zigzag, which is common on floors and feature walls.

Will Ashford Gray work with a stone exterior?

Its gray and buff tones are neutral, so it often sits well beside gray or tan stone and wood siding. Bring a sample of your stone or siding to compare, since undertones differ from product to product.

Is Ashford Gray Clay Brick suitable for outdoor walls in Park City?

The single tiles are listed for outdoor use. Freeze-thaw cycles make substrate, drainage and setting materials especially important, so have your installer confirm the full wall assembly before you order.
