Chalk White Herringbone Clay Brick

Chalky, matte white clay brick set in herringbone is a quiet way to add pattern to a bright room. These mesh-back sheets come pre-arranged in the zigzag, so your installer is not cutting and aligning every brick by hand across the field.

The brick is thin clay, about 1/2" thick, with a natural finish. Herringbone sheets are listed for interior and covered outdoor spaces; single 2-1/4" x 7-1/2" tiles are listed for open outdoor areas, and 2-1/4" x 10-3/4" corner pieces finish outside edges. It suits laundry room floors, sunroom floors, coffee-bar walls and backsplashes. For walls with less movement, Chalk White Clay Brick offers the same white in running bond. Other colors are in our brick collection.

Whites vary in different light, so request a quote for samples or visit our Draper & Payson showroom by appointment.

Use white or warm-white grout for a soft, tone-on-tone floor, or pale gray to let the zigzag show. Chalky white brick pairs with light oak, rattan, linen, green-painted cabinets and aged brass. On floors, keep rugs and furniture simple so the pattern carries the room. Pair herringbone underfoot with the running-bond version on an adjacent wall.

    Questions

About Chalk White Herringbone Clay Brick

Is there a running-bond version of Chalk White?

Yes. Chalk White Clay Brick uses the same chalky white brick on running-bond sheets, with single tiles and corners listed. It is a good choice for walls next to a herringbone floor, keeping the color identical.

Will a white brick floor show dirt?

Light floors show tracked-in dirt more than mid-tones, and grout is usually where it collects first. A slightly darker grout and a sealer recommended by your installer can help in entries and mudrooms.

Can Chalk White Herringbone go on a covered patio?

The herringbone mesh sheets are listed for interior and covered outdoor areas, so a covered patio fits that listing. Confirm the substrate, drainage and setting materials with your installer, especially where freezing temperatures occur.
