Bluebird Mini Stacked Stone

Bluebird pulls a cool blue-gray from quartzite, a color that pairs naturally with snow-country palettes and crisp white interiors. In this mini format the split-face strips are slim and closely spaced, giving the wall a fine, detailed grain.

Each flat panel is 4.5" x 16", and a 4.5" x 9" corner finishes outside edges. A smaller module is easier to fit around outlets, windows and short spans, which makes minis a natural choice for backsplashes, wet-bar walls and the sides of kitchen islands. For larger surfaces, Bluebird XL Stacked Stone uses the same blue-gray quartzite in a 9" x 24" panel, double the height of the mini, so a two-story fireplace or exterior wall reads in bolder bands with fewer seams.

Bluebird's cool tone looks sharp with white cabinetry, walnut, matte black hardware and gray-veined quartz. Warm beige tile next to it tends to clash with the blue. Use the mini on island ends and backsplashes, and move to Bluebird XL for full-height walls in the same room so the color stays consistent while the scale suits each surface. Finish exposed edges with the 4.5" x 9" corners.

About Bluebird Mini Stacked Stone

Mini or XL Bluebird: which should I choose?

Pick by wall size. The 4.5" x 16" mini suits backsplashes, island ends and smaller walls. The 9" x 24" XL suits fireplaces, exteriors and tall feature walls. Both are blue-gray quartzite, so you can use each where it fits in the same home.

Is Bluebird truly blue?

It is a blue-gray, not a saturated blue. The blue tends to show more in cool daylight, while warm lamps pull it toward gray. A sample viewed in your own space, at different times of day, gives the clearest picture.

Does the mini come with corners?

Yes. A 4.5" x 9" corner is listed to finish outside edges, so island ends, bar fronts and wall returns can show continuous stone rather than raw cut panel ends.
