Stacked Stone Panels
Rustic Ember Stacked Stone
Rustic Ember is a slate stacked stone with a multicolor mix, so a single wall shows a range of tones rather than one flat color. Slate splits along natural layers, and the split-face strips in each panel keep that layered, slightly irregular surface.
Panels come as 6" x 24" flats with matching 6" x 12" x 6" L-corners. The varied coloring suits lodge-style interiors, basement bars, fireplace surrounds and exterior accents where a blend is more visually forgiving than a single pale tone. Because slate color shifts between pieces, the finished wall looks more natural when panels are mixed across boxes. Compare it with other panels in our natural stone veneer range, or with Midnight Slate XL if you want slate in a single dark tone.
One panel won't show the full color range, so ask for a quote and samples, or visit the Draper or Payson showroom by appointment.

With this much color in the stone, keep surrounding finishes simple. A plain black steel mantel, reclaimed timber or a single solid wall color lets the slate do the work. Pull one tone from the panel for trim or cabinetry rather than trying to match several. Use the L-corners on hearth returns and column wraps, and lay panels out on the floor first to balance warm and cool pieces.
- Feature walls and accent walls
- Fireplace surrounds
- Exterior facades, columns and wainscot
- Outdoor kitchens and seat walls
- Residential and commercial projects
Confirm substrate, exposure and installation method with your installer before specifying.
About Rustic Ember Stacked Stone
What colors appear in Rustic Ember?
The product is listed as a multicolor slate. Expect a blend of tones that varies from panel to panel rather than a single uniform color. Request a sample, and ideally several, since the mix in one panel will not show the full range.
Is Rustic Ember suitable for a fireplace surround?
Stacked slate panels are commonly used on fireplace walls. Clearances, heat exposure and adhesive choice are installation questions, so confirm the method and materials with your installer and your fireplace manufacturer's guidelines.
Does it come with corners?
Yes. The 6" x 12" x 6" L-corner pairs with the 6" x 24" flat panel so the stacked look wraps around outside corners on hearths, columns and wall ends instead of stopping at a cut edge.
