Storm Bluestone flamed pavers in blue-gray tones
Natural Stone Pavers

Storm Bluestone Pavers

Bluestone has long been a go-to for terraces and walkways, and Storm Bluestone carries that look in a blue-gray with medium variation. A flamed finish gives the face a textured, slightly rough surface rather than a smooth cut.

This is the broadest size list in our natural paver line: 12x12, 12x24, 18x18, 18x24, 18x36, 24x24, 24x36 and 24x48, each in 1 in or 1-1/2 in thickness, plus a 24x30 in 1 in. That range makes it easy to plan modular patterns or large-format fields. Cap pool and seat-wall edges with Storm Bluestone coping, and use Storm Bluestone stacked stone on nearby walls.

Sizes are nominal. Confirm dimensions, thickness and finish with Stone Era before ordering.

Blue-gray stone pairs well with charcoal or slate-gray joints, white trim, black steel and weathered wood. Thickness matters: ask your installer whether 1 in or 1-1/2 in fits your setting bed and traffic. Large 24x36 or 24x48 pieces suit modern entries, while mixing 12x12 through 24x24 builds a classic ashlar-style pattern. Darker stone absorbs more sun, so consider shade near pools.

    Questions

    About Storm Bluestone Pavers

Should I choose 1 in or 1-1/2 in thickness?

Both are listed for most sizes; the 24x30 comes in 1 in only. The right choice depends on your base, setting method and how the area will be used. Your installer should make that call based on the site, and we can quote either thickness.

    Is there matching coping?

Yes. Storm Bluestone coping is a 12x24, 2 in piece with a flamed finish and a full bullnose on one 24 in side. Its color is described as a deeper blue-charcoal, so view coping and pavers together to see how they read side by side.

Does bluestone work in Park City or Heber?

The blue-gray tone sits well with the timber and steel found on many mountain homes. For freeze-thaw sites, confirm base preparation, drainage and installation method with your installer before ordering, and choose thickness with their input.

Will it get hot in St. George?

Darker stone generally absorbs more heat than light stone, so blue-gray pavers in full sun can feel warm underfoot. Shade structures or a lighter stone near the water line may be worth considering. Compare samples in your own light first.
